Your Diet
What you put in your mouth may or may not cause bad breath. It still depends on what type of food you frequently devour. Onions and garlic can cause a foul stench that is annoying to some people. On the other hand there are certain things that you can eat to dissipate the foul stench. Greens like lettuce, parsley, mint are just some stuff that you can eat. One must also consider that eating things that are no well cooked or cleansed can cause bad breath as well. In short, always keep in mind that what you put inside your mouth can have foul smelling repercussions.
Your Habits
Maintaining a good oral hygiene habit is one of the most effective preventive measures that can curb the occurrence of bad breath. It is a must to brush one’s teeth and floss on a daily basis. It is imperative that you thoroughly clean your mouth by removing any excess food particles stuck in your teeth. Since the mouth is a wet and warm place, bacteria thrives in it especially if there are food particles that it can feed on. So do not take simple things for granted. Studies show that one’s good oral hygiene habit can prolong one’s life since there are fatal bacteria in the mouth that can cause illnesses. Prevention is still the best cure.
In Conclusion
The good thing about bad breath is that if it is only caused by one’s diet and poor oral hygiene then it’s definitely curable. More medical attention is given if the cause of halitosis is beyond habits. If the main cause is originating from a serious medical condition then one must immediately consult a physician. This condition can be fatal if not treated properly. The condition can cause serious damages both physically and socially. So take this condition seriously if you really value your social life.
